No, this isn’t an anime post, and I hope our followers, and the other runners of this blog, will forgive me for posting “politics” here.
This is too serious though, and with 3400 followers, you are my best audience.i *am* sorry if people are sick of hearing about politics. but politics or not, this is fucking scary: fema detainment camps are going live. FEMA DETENTION/DETAINMENT CAMPS. IN AMERICA. ALL FIFTY STATES. this is following the bill passed by the senate in a 93 to 7 vote that the government can, at it’s discretion, arrest any american citizen at any time without trial or reason, and hold them indefinitely. sure, obama says he’ll veto, but with a 2/3+ approval in senate, the veto will be over-ridden. so, they’ve passed the bill to detain us indefinitely, and now they’re activating the detention camps, all shortly after occupy wallstreet starts. google fema detainment camps, google the NDAA bill. google what occupy wallstreet stands for. please please please, research for yourself online what is going on in america right now. this is very very serious, and very very scary. don’t think about this as politics, don’t use that as an excuse to ignore this kind of thing. i’m not asking anyone to agree with me, or declare themselves as a 99%, i’m just asking everyone that reads this post to EDUCATE THEMSELVES on the shit that’s happening right now. read up on what’s going on and draw your own conclusions, but for pete’s sake, EDUCATE YOURSELF.
info on the NDAA bill
occupy wallstreet’s message & goals
pretty graphics to help perspective a bit
breaking news (12/06/2011) on FEMA camps going live
also, this alex jones video talking about the fema camps
a message from anonymous about the global situation right now
this is no longer about politics - this is literally about our freedoms & liberties.
AS AN EXAMPLE: say you have a pen pal in iraq, that can be labeled as “suspected terrorism” - off to fema camps you go, indefinitely, no lawyer, no family visits, no guarantee of leaving.
say you put up a tweet: “i don’t like the president” — bam, suspected terrorism - off to fema camps you go.
say you…. oh, have more than 6 days worth of food in your house - SUSPECTED TERRORISM, OFF TO FEMA WITH YOU. (yes, the last one is true, along with “missing fingers” or looking muslim, etc, check it here)
IF YOU CAN REBLOG A CAT LICKING IT’S LIPS, PLEASE REBLOG SOMETHING LIKE THIS.  Seriously. This is your life & your freedom. Spread the word, educate yourself, friends & family.

Completely unrelated to special snowflakez, but take a look anyway.

Signal boosting- PLEASE look at this guys!

This post filled me with fear originally. I talked myself down and I think the advice I gave myself is something that needs to be added. Yes, this is a fucking terrifying thing, but we are not helpless. We are powerful. We can overcome this and we will. We can and we will. We can and we will. We are powerful. No matter what they throw at us, we can and we will overcome it.

Sorry, have to post this. I can reach many more people through this blog and, well, this is fucking important.

lovethatasianperson said: Is there any criteria for submitting cosplay photos?

There is no criteria for submission, but the criteria for what gets posted is pretty strict. Everything from wigs to location choices to camera angles gets judged.

So feel free to submit, just don’t hold your breath waiting for it to be posted! Thanks for asking! ^_^

Maybe I should start posting here again.

hmmmmmm……

I know it’s not my usual style to reblog at all, or put anything on my blog but PSPB, but if it helps to save anyone from being caught in this, I would be more than remiss not to do this. Please spread the word!

Same as the private school polar bear. Usually I wouldn’t reblog stuff like this on to the bunny, but this is the blog where I can reach the most people.

Same here.

Immediately fell in love with this picture. The reason why I love cosplay so much! Not just looking like a character, but nailing the character’s essence as well.

How to Help

“What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world remains and is immortal.” -Albert Pine.

Alright, here’s some tips to donating and helping Japan.

  • Avoid Newly-Formed Charities and Give To An Established Charity That Has Worked In Japan - It’s all about trust, and I would rather put my money with someone I trust than someone I’ve just met, thank you very much.
  • Designate Your Investment - Specify that you want your money going specifically to the relief funds in Japan. This way it won’t get filtered out to anything else the charity may be helping with. Not that helping out other projects is a bad thing.
  • Do Not Send Supplies – In the middle of all the confusion it’s unlikely that your supplies will make it to wherever they’re addressed. Donating to a charity or relief fund will allow those in charge of said fund to buy supplies for, and subsequently give them directly to, the people who are in need of them.
  • Be Careful Of Email Solicitations - Unfortunately, there are dicks out there trying to take advantage of you. Be wary.
  • Seek Out The Charity’s Authorized Website – Scammers have been known to set up bogus web sites that claim to be the official donation sites of major organizations. Make sure the site you have is the official/authorized/guaranteed/whatever site of the organization you are trying to donate to.
  • Think before you text - Texting to donate is a great option, but first make sure the number you’re texting to is the right one. Also, keep in mind that it can take up to 90 days before the organization receives texted donation funds.
  • Consider The Nature Of The Charity’s Work – Not all charities respond the same way- some provide medical assistance, some provide shelter, some provide food and water, etc. Consider what you want to give to those affected, and see what charities are offering that.
  • Keep an Eye on your Dollars - If you want to feel smug and accomplished, make sure to keep watch on your charity, and see the good your dollar has done.

POPULAR CHARITIES:

(Text REDCROSS to 90999 to donate $10)

(Text JAPAN to 20222 to donate)

(Text QUAKE to 80888 to donate $10)

(Text MED to 80888 to donate $10)

(Text JAPAN to 50555 to donate $10)
